Full Day Punta Tombo
We begin the day by picking you up from your accommodations in Puerto Madryn, setting out on a journey to one of Patagonia’s most fascinating natural spectacles: the Punta Tombo reserve, home to one of the most important Magellanic penguin colonies in the world.
On the way, we stop at the entrance to Trelew, next to the iconic replica of the largest dinosaur in the world—an ideal moment to relax and capture the first images of the day.
We travel along the vast Patagonian roads for just over two hours, crossing open landscapes that anticipate the immensity of what lies ahead.
Upon arrival, we enter the reserve with enough time to walk its trails and visit the Interpretation Center, gaining a deeper understanding of the life of these incredible birds. We walk among thousands of penguins living in their natural habitat, observing their behaviors up close, their journeys to the sea, and the dynamics of the colony. The closeness and authenticity of the environment make this experience truly unique.
During the visit, we have free time for lunch (not included), with the option of dining at the reserve’s facilities or enjoying our own packed meal, always surrounded by nature.
Along the way, and depending on the day’s logistics, we may make a stop at Trelew Airport, facilitating connections with arriving or departing flights.
We return to Puerto Madryn with the feeling of having been part of an extraordinary natural environment, where wildlife and landscape combine to offer an unforgettable experience.
